As part of the process of due diligence they use ZENmetrics™ from 413 Technologies to conduct an accurate and fast audit of the network of all potential acquisition targets. ZENmetrics™ is a network audit and management tool that Powerdial used to scan all hardware, software, drive metrics™, licences etc, to provide a picture of the age, composition and worthiness of the networks. It allowed the company to quickly see what the IT infrastructures were like in all of the companies they were talking to.

The ZENmetrics™ product is used by Powerdial to provide information to some of its own clients, all of whom are similarly delighted with the quality of reporting and the speed of obtaining the results. In one case ZENmetrics™ identified several security issues to a major corporate, who were adamant that they had no external single line modems in their network. Inside 5 minutes the scan reported back showing 12 in one location. In another case ZENmetrics™ was able to identify to a Powerdial client that they had been exposed to illegal installation of software and were able to quickly address that situation.
ZENmetrics™ has allowed Powerdial to deliver reports to FAST (Federation Against Software Theft) proving the validity of their own network and helping them move towards FAST Accreditation. Powerdial believe that the use of ZENmetrics™ will also enable them to move towards FAST Accreditation much quicker than would otherwise be the case.
